- Aridlife facilitated water trucking to (34) villages (as crisis modifier) to Bardhere and Garbaharey and Elwak benefitting 6800 households (20,400 beneficiaries) during the 2021/2022 drought
- We constructed41 household-shared latrines targeting congested IDP settlements and equip them with hand-wash facilities, for Elwak and Garbaharey IDP including Dhuure IDP & Libaxlow IDP in Garbaharey, Elbanda, Tuulo garas, Qoryoley IDP and Libante IDPs in Elwak to benefit 1950 households. Aridlied also Funded and monitored private individuals in the desludging and rehabilitation of 40 communal latrines in IDP camps in the above camps
- We rehabilitate 8 high-yielding shallow wells targeting host communities in Elwak covering 8 villages (Elbanda, Oktobar, Howlwadag Villages and Libante IDP Camp experiencing perennial water scarcity) in March and December 2022, benefiting 4668 households.
- We constructedan Extension of a pipeline and construct water kiosks to increase access to water for in newly drought-displaced people in IDP camps (Dabarbaale villae and Elhamba in Elbanda Village) in Elwak benefiting 840 beneficiaries in December 2022
- Provided fuel subsidies to (11) boreholes (as crisis modifier) to 10 villages on Bardheere and Garbaharey for six months supporting 6600 beneficiaries.
- Established and strengthened 8 Water Management Committees in the communities to operate and maintain water sources, linking them to local government including the Ministry of Water & Natural Resources in 8 villages.
