Health and nutrition outcomes in Mandera County are the lowest in the country. Aridlife responded to the water and health crisis in Mandera County during the 2021/2022 drought emergency. In particular, Aridlife provided water trucking and nutritional monitoring to supplement the county government response in Mandera west, Banisa counties where livestock death was highest at the height of the droughts.

Aridlife provided monitored the nutrition status of 3 wards (Lagsure, Gither, Takaba south Wards) and provided logistics and stipends to local health workers to conduct outreach services and distribute nutrition commodities, conduct vaccination for newly born children, and distributed hygiene and sanitation kits.
